Folks with good visual memories, help! I was trying to find a picture of the Lion of Judah for the last O Antiphon (look at Gen 49 and that will make sense) (I hope). I have a vague notion that somewhere there is a reasonably well-known stylised lion’s face/head in a medieval depiction – I think early medieval, quite possibly Celtic, and I think a painting in a manuscript, though possibly a sculpture. And I don’t think (though I might be wrong) that it’s intended to represent St Mark. Does anyone have any clue what I’m talking about? Anyone? Google has not yet been my friend on this!

One of the problems with googling ‘lion of Judah’ is all the rasta stuff that comes up!
