Be kind and tender to the Frog,
And do not call him names,
As ‘Slimy skin,’ or ‘Polly-wog,’
Or likewise ‘Ugly James,’
Or ‘Gape-a-grin,’ or ‘Toad-gone-wrong,’
Or ‘Billy Bandy-knees’:
The Frog is justly sensitive
To epithets like these.
No animal will more repay
A treatment kind and fair;
At least so lonely people say
Who keep a frog (and, by the way,
They are extremely rare).

” … and do not call him names, …” or stand on him.
In fact, on balance, he’d probably rather you called him names than stood on him.

Words fail me when trying to express how cruel you are. I will not sleep tonight, late as it is. I hope this callous post will rest heavily on you conscience.

Good thing I went to bed immediately after writing that comment, so no pangs

They have tiny tropical frogs in the pet shop near my parents’ house. (Well, technically, my parents’ landlord’s house.) They’re quite cute but they need heated tanks and things which I imagine are quite expensive.
