This is a book I found the day before I left the guest house at the abbey of the Annunciation at Le Barroux. I forgot quite how much it has influenced my life! Anyone who knows me will look at the contents and think “funny, I’ve never noticed berenike to be troubled by scruples or overly nice in her conscience”. This is true. But scruples are something that destroy peace and joy, and lots of the advice in this book is applicable to any temptations to sadness or gloom or navel-gazing or the like. You can choose to be peaceful. (Add the necessary distinctions to that statement, of course.)

Oh, I need to read this book (as proved by a closer look at it on Google Livres)! Thank you for posting this.
