Well… I’m not suggesting e refuses to obey it I’m suggesting that he obeys it (i.e. asks the EU to offer and extension) but then vetoes the EU offering an extension. In that case we would leave on 31st October unless the remainers can forma rival government.
Yes, it was a separate question – if he disobeys the law, do we leave automatically. I suppose he might go to prison. In a way it would be fitting were he executed (not that I am desiring that) – nulla redemptio sine effusione sanguinis.
Dead easy: he advises the Queen to refuse assent. She has to refuse assent. The only option for the House of Commons is a vote of no confidence: then we get an election.
This is definitely true unless the Remainers forma rival government. However it would cause an almighty constitutional crisis that might endanger the monarchy.

How do you mean? Only the queen can veto it if it’s been passed by both houses.

The UK retains an EU veto. Boris could ask for an extension as the Bill (prob. soon Act) requires and then veto it.

If he refuses to obey this new law, do we still leave on October 31st by default?

I don’t think the Bill would extend the departure date if the EU didn’t offer an extension.
